meQ EAP is a revolutionary way to build a resilient, high-performing workforce by strengthening skills and reducing reliance on clinical care. Through a scientifically validated assessment, we deliver personalized tools to address opportunities across mental health and performance.
Build the skills your people need to thrive in their daily lives, and reduce preventative costs for an organization, all with the comprehensive services and benefits of a traditional EAP.
meQ operates as a predictive early-warning system, using a clinically validated assessment that measures employees across 18 dimensions of stress and resilience (like sleep, emotion control, and work-life balance).
By continuously sensing patterns through this initial assessment and ongoing 90-day reassessments combined with ad-hoc pulsing, meQ identifies the underlying root causes of performance risk — uncovering why employees are stressed and where that risk is coming from before it escalates into costly medical claims or resignations.
When burnout and stress escalate beyond preventative measures into high-acuity clinical needs, meQ supports employees through its integrated meQ EAP (Employee Assistance Program), which is designed to cover the entire acuity continuum, including:
Direct Clinical Care: For individuals experiencing severe anxiety, depression, or other psychological issues requiring intervention, the meQ EAP provides immediate access to master's-level counselors who answer the phones and can seamlessly connect users with clinical therapists for in-the-moment counseling
Critical Incident Support: meQ can deploy experts for on-site support within 24 hours, while also offering direct coaching and guidance to HR teams and organizational leaders on how to handle the situation.
Services are available in over 200 countries and our digital platform is available in 17 languages. Members are connected to clinicians in their country and language when reaching out for further assistance.
We have a long, successful history of integrating and collaborating seamlessly with our clients' insurance carriers, internal EAPs, medical, health, and wellness providers, and other vendors in the areas of mental health, wellness, work-life, and more through Intelligent Navigation. This success is based on our flexibility in service delivery and operational protocols—all aimed at providing the end users of our services with the most seamless experience possible.
Implementation for meQ EAP can be launched 6-8 weeks after contract signing, with enrollment and activation materials made available. We make the implementation as turnkey as possible. Our assigned CSD and Account Executive (AE) manage the implementation process, as it's an important time to gather crucial information regarding key stakeholders, organizational and people challenges, locations, relevant benefit information, etc. This helps us customize services, promotional activities, and materials to promote strong engagement and utilization of the program.
The information members share with us is treated as private, personally identifiable information. Our platform, counselors, and service delivery staff are required to keep member data confidential, in alignment with the law, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and ethical standards.
While aggregated risk and utilization data is shared with the client organization, we will not share personally identifiable information with the employer, unless we have obtained explicit, written permission from the member (as would be the case with formal referrals), or when we are required by law to disclose (e.g., Duty to Warn, immediate intention to harm self or others).
We offer 9 standard filters. However, customers must provide the data within their eligibility file in order for it to appear in the reporting: Age, Gender, Manager, Tenure, Region, Country, State, City, Registration year. Using these filters, we allow you to segment your workforce to better understand the populations that are at the most or least risk for mental health and performance impairments.
Because our personalized experience and front-end for identifying at-risk individuals is imperative to addressing the needs for everyone, EAP services cannot be purchased apart from the core meQ experience.
